What’s new in the improved Wow!Green New Edition?
The worksheets in the workbook have been graphically redesigned to make them easier for students to understand and reduce the number of mistakes. Pictograms have been added to all English instructions to make the tasks easier to understand and encourage students to work independently.
The original black-and-white homework assignments are now versatile and can be used at any time—in class, as supplementary practice, or as work for faster learners. This gives teachers more flexibility and supports differentiated learning.
The flashcards have been redesigned to feature larger, more prominent text. This makes it easier for children to perceive the written form of words in connection with their meaning (the picture) and their sound (what they hear from the teacher and repeat together). This modification supports the development of whole-word recognition, which is an important part of pre-reading literacy. Children will later use this skill when practicing reading and writing.
The edition includes 16 new picture cards with the numbers 1–12 and prepositions of place (in, on, under, by), which expand the possibilities for classroom activities.
What has proven effective and remains the same?
The content—that is, vocabulary and grammar—remains the same as in the original version. The popular video stories and songs featuring Steve and Maggie also remain unchanged. The Class Book features slightly revised visual presentations of the texts, but the content remains unchanged.
